Curtain Cleaning Norwich 2nd February 2012

A very busy hotel in Norwich has huge floor to ceiling curtains, which had become heavily soiled over the years, in their main events suite.Owing to their size and weight, the curtains could not be removed and taken to the local dry cleaners.

We were asked to solvent-clean these curtains in-situ using our extraction equipment.
After a thorough vacuuming of the fabric followed by hand application of a solvent spotting solution to break down the more heavily soiled areas, heated solvent was sprayed through the fabric and then immediately extracted back into the machine taking with it the oils and dissolved food solids. The material was completely dry in under an hour and the hotel had their vibrantly-coloured curtains again with a minimum of disruption.
