Leather Cleaning Norwich 2nd February 2012

A client had a particularly old and well-worn three piece suite upholstered in cream leather which had become very dirty and tired; central heating during the winter months had also taken its toll and the leather felt thin, hard and in bad condition.

Replacement cost, he discovered, was around 4000 pounds so he decided to call us to see if cleaning and re-conditioning would make a significant difference.

First, we thoroughly vacuumed the sofa and armchairs. We then carefully applied a deep cleaning solution by hand, a panel at a time, which removed all traces of dirt and grease which had become engrained into the surface of the leather. This was followed by, most importantly, an application of a high-quality leather conditioner to each panel.

The result was a beautifully clean, soft and supple leather suite for a fraction of the cost of replacing it. As with fabrics, proper and regular maintenance of leather upholstery will ensure a long life of this very expensive household item.
